Child Protection
Child Protection Project for the children affected by floods - Projects Jaffarabad in Balochistan, D.I. Khan in Khyber Pakhtoonkwah and D.G. Khan in South Punjab are among the most affected districts in recent floods. According to initial assessment of WFP, the most affected district in Khyber Pakhtoonkwah is district D.I.Khan. The total population in need of assistance is 675,502. At least one third of these are children.

Support To Civil Society
As part of its resource mobilization strategy SSD provides all kinds of support services to civil society organizations across Pakistan. SSD has worked with local and international organizations and donors and has in-depth understanding of the requirements of the donor organizations. SSD has worked with OSI, Interact Worldwide and Commonwealth foundation along with many other UN agencies.

Monitoring And Evaluation
Because of it is technical capacity and skills SSD is also involved in providing monitoring and evaluation services for on going projects by the donor organizations and support agencies. At present SSD is working conducting the MTR of EC funded project for Key vulnerable Populations in Karachi and Final Evaluation of MNCH project in DG Khan which is also funded by EC. SSD team members have also helped in developing the monitoring framework for NATPOW supported projects in various arts of Pakistan.

Mid Term Evaluation
Mid Term Evaluation Key Vulnerable Populations Project Karachi SSD has recently been involved in conducting the Mid Term Review of Key vulnerable Populations Project which is being funded by European Commission and implemented by Pakistan Society and PAVHNA. The project aims at providing services to vulnerable and marginalized communities like injecting drug users, female sex workers and men hijra community. It is underpinned by rights based approach.

Mother & New Born Child Health Project
Final Project Evaluation Mother & News Born Child Health Project Dera Ghazi Khan - Projects SSD continues to provide technical assistance to partner organizations in many fields. SSD has recently completed the final evaluation of the Mother and News Born Child Health Project in Dera Ghazi Khan which is being implemented by Community Support Concern and Interact Worldwide. The Project is being funded by European Commission.

Advocacy
Advocacy for the rights of Vulnerable and Marginalized communities Punjab AIDS Consortium and NWFP AIDS Consortium are networks of NGOs working for the prevention and control of HIV and AIDS in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtoonkwah Provinces. Both consortiums are jointly implementing a project titled “Advocacy for the Rights of Vulnerable and Marginalized Communities” in two provinces. The project is being funded by Provincial AIDS Control Programs through small grants program.

Raising Awareness
Raising Awareness about the Rights of Domestic Child Workers - Projects The phenomenon of the domestic child workers is on the rise in Pakistan because of the rapid urbanization and increasing poverty due to a number factors including inflation, power crises, extremism and weak governance which have all hit the economy very hard. These domestic child workers suffer abuse, exploitation and even torture. Domestic child labour is considered the worst form of child labour.
